ABILENE -- The Cougars had to work to put away the Mustangs, only leading 7-0 at the half. Cooper running back Brandon Diles carried the ball 27 times for 143 yards and a touchdown to lead the Cooper win.

ODESSA -- Odessa High were almost trying to send a message to the rest of the district in their 46-0 slaughter of the Bobcats. Brad Fox scored three different ways to lead the Bronchos to victory. Fox scored on a 7-yard pass from Justin Casas, a 75-yard interception return, and an 85-yard punt return.
