SIMPLY OVERPOWERED

The annual cross-town rivalry game witnessed Permian jumping out to a 21-7 lead in the first quarter, with two of the scores from quarterback Taylor Byrd. Mojo added another 21 points in the second period.  Joseph Knighten ended the scoring with a 29-yard pass from Taylor Byrd to make the score 42-7 at the half.  The second half wasn't much better for the Bronchos as they fell 49-13.

Wireless has announced this week’s “Yards 4 Youth Football Player of the Week”!  Quarterback Derrick Teegarden earned the player award by gaining 150 yards of offense in the Bronchos’ 15-14 win over Midland High on October 19.  This award goes to the Little Southwest Conference player which gains the most offensive yards.  On behalf of Teegarden, Alltel will donate $500 to the Central Permian Basin Youth Athletic Association.  MORE ON 'YARDS 4 YOUTH'
