The Cougars jumped out to a 21-0 lead before the Brownwood Lions could answer.  After trading touchdowns, the Lions took advantage of Cougar miscues and added 15 points to close the gap to 28-21 at the half.  Cooper came out in the second half and could only manage a Vicor Gloria field goal to extend the score to 31-21, but the Lions weren't finished.  Brownwood pulled with three and threatened late in the game, but the Cougar defense denied the rally in the 31-28 victory. Zach Stewart ended the game with 465 passing yards, outdoing last week's district record.
