Dropped From Playoffs
As had been the case throughout the season, penalties and turnovers doomed the Cougars in their 17-13 Bi-District loss to Mansfield Timberview.   Cooper lost two fumbles in the red zone in the second half and never seemed to recover.  Cooper's only TD of the game came when Will Casey hit Timmy Dixon from 27 yards out.  Cooper's only lead was 10-7, when kicker Isaac Escobedo connected from 31 yards out in the first half. Gaining For Youth
Even though the Cougars lost to Lee, A'mon Pimpton received his second “Yards 4 Youth Football Player of the Week" award on November 9.  Pimpton was recognized for his 229 offensive yards.  On behalf of Pimpton’s performance, Alltel Wireless is donating another $500 to Big Country Youth Football.
